Voices Underground: A Nightingale Sang

Thursday 4 July | 6pm & 7:30pm

St Martin’s Voices continue their ‘Voices Underground’ series in the Tunnel Shaft of the Brunel Museum. Spend an evening surrounded by summer birdsong, with choral music from the Renaissance to the present day, all inspired by songbirds and their singing.

Programme to include

Le Chant des Oiseaux – Janequin
The Blue Bird – Stanford
The Bird’s Lullaby – Sarah Quartel
A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square – Sherwin arr. Puerling

The Midnight Apothecary will be serving botanical cocktails, wine and beer round the firepit in Brunel’s candlelit roof garden immediately above the tunnel shaft from 5pm. Guests for either performance are welcome to join us from 5pm until 9pm.

Please note, the Brunel Museum has limited accessibility – click here for more information.
